Mouse and Spouse

This lonely little mouse, Seemed to have a serious grouse, Was scurrying around the house, Hunting for it's loving spouse.
Pittar patter, pittar patter, Swiftly it climbed up the ladder, Sniffed at every nook and corner, Still the search became harder and harder.
With a heavy heart and moist eyes, It stood for a while, Just trying to reconcile, To being along without a smile.
It slid down the ladder, As if confused about the matter, Every moment it got increasingly sadder, In vain, it became madder and madder.
These are certain things, So common with human beings, Loss of a loved one creates such feelings, Totally chaotic and utterly confusing.
Mice is a pest in my home, We dislike to see it nibble and roam, A creature so low in the evolution process, Unparalleled love it is able to express.
